Family Portraits. Style and Variety

What style is your family?

Formal (traditional) - Studio portraits for those who prefer a little dressier look.

Casual - In the studio on a muslin background. The family is posed on the floor on the muslin in a much more casual manner. Family members will lean on each other. Great with kids through young adults; not recommended for ties and suit jackets.

Outdoors - We have a great outdoor “park” area for portraits right here at the studio. Many of our families choose to have the portraits done outdoors (weather permitting). Casual (yet well coordinated) clothes are recommended. Since we are using available light, outdoors does not work well for very high energy children. Their motion will be blurred in the image.

Storytelling - Is there a certain location, prop, or activity that really tells a story about your family? Let’s make that part of your family portrait. Going on location requires that the proper time of day be scheduled for the best lighting. There may also be an additional fee for after hours or distance traveled so be sure to ask.

Portrait Sessions

Deluxe Session - $59 This session allows us a good amount of time to capture great memories of your family, kids or both.This will allow you variety in your backgrounds such as indoor and outdoor, or several different groupings. It also gives us some time to work with children that are younger and will require that extra bit of effort to capture those giggles and smiles. You will view about 35-55 images.

Extended Session - $99 Have a great location that is special to your family? Want us to take you to one of our awesome locations or do you have some place that is special to you? Let's do a family outing and have some fun! This session takes a little extra time getting to those perfect spots. It is very importrant to plan the right time of day so that the lighting is just right.

This session is also great when you are looking for a variety of groupings and/or locations here at our studio (and our gardens). When families sessions are multi-generation it is best to have a bit of extra time scheduled for doing all the different family breakdowns.

You are invited to return to the studio to view the images with any of your family that wants to be part of the ordering process. We’ll view the images, sort out your favorites and put together your order.
